Who I am

My name is Ilaria, and I am Physics student at La Sapienza University of Rome.

Since I was a child I have been fascinated by the mechanisms regulating the universe, and now I want to share my passion through this blog aiming to offer an insight into nature's fascination.

I strongly believe that science is inevitably linked with several social, political and philosophical matters, and that discussing those issues is part of being a scientist itself.

This is why I shall be posting some personal reflections about what is humanly happening around.

A brief story of my life...

One day my father came in holding a newspaper and a book.

"What's that?" - I asked, and he gave me the book: 'Stars and Planets', by Ian Ridpath. A life-changing instant: I was four years old, and Physics happened.

Since then my passion for science has been growing until today.

I am an active, strong, positive person always ready to start something new.

Creativity has always been my winning point, and I hope one day I will be able to use it to contribute in Physics.

When I am not lost among galaxies or studying, I try to jump from one passion to another: from social media to writing and the arts.

I feel fascinated both from nature and humanity: here's why literature and neuroscience represent other personal interests that stimulate me every day.

Lastly,  being involved in an international environment, travelling the world experiencing new cultures is another of my personal targets, as I am convinced that diversity represents the world's greatest richness.
